The Bonus Lock-In Calculator is a very useful and commonly used calculator. It has two modes - 'Wins' and 'Loses'. This is a guide for a spreadsheet version of the Bonus Lock-In Calculator that has a Part Lay section. It works in both 'Loses' and 'Wins' modes.
The calculator can be downloaded here:-
Bonus Lock-In Calculator with Fixabet - Excel format
The Calculator was made using the free LibreOffice, and should work in both LibreOffice and Excel.
Example 1
This is an example of a bet that was placed on the Unibet offer, where there are two partial lay bets in place. The first is a lay bet with a stake of £8.92 and lay odds of 7.2 and the second is a lay bet with a stake of £4.50 and lay odds of 7.6.
As always, when fixing bets, you should make sure that you cancel any unmatched lay bets placed on the market for the particular bet you are laying before placing your next lay bet at the best odds.
The calculator shows that at current lay odds of 7.4, the lay stake is £19.67, and that there is a liability of £125.89 on this bet (there will be a greater total liability, since there is also liability from the first two bets).
The overall position, taking into account the back bet and all of the lay bets, and assuming exactly 90% retention from the bonus, should you get it, will be either £29.11 profit if the bookmaker bet wins, and £29.09 profit if the exchange bet wins.
Example 2
This is an example of a part-laid bet placed in 'Wins' mode. The original lay odds were 5.2, but only £6 was matched. If the lay odds changed to 5.4, you would need to cancel the unmatched part of the bet and lay £4.96 at the new lay odds of 5.4. Your overall profit would be 96p or 98p.
