The Dutching Early Payout Calculator is an advanced tool used for early payout offers such as 2UP when you have Dutched your bets instead of backing and laying.
This will most commonly be used for Tennis 2UP offers as the retirement rules don't always match up with the exchanges. You can find out more about this here.
You should get yourself very familiar with Dutching and the standard Early Payout Calculator before ever using this calculator.
BEFORE WE GET STARTED
This will be the basic process for using this calculator:
- Qualifying Bets - Enter your back stake and odds to dutch your bets.
- Lock-in or Cash Out - Either place a back bet with a third bookmaker which will cash out one of your original bets (bookie B bet). Alternatively use the cash-out feature at the bookmaker to cash out the original bet (bookie B bet).
- Results - The calculator will tell you how much profit you will make in various scenarios.
For the rest of this guide we will be using the following example:
Roger Federer v Andy Murray
£100 Back bet on Roger Federer with Bet365 at odds of 1.4 - Bookie A
Dutching with BetStars on Andy Murray at odds of 3.2 - Bookie B
Using BetVictor to place a back bet when cashing out at 2UP - Bookie C
All of this for a 2UP offer on Bet365 where they payout as a winner should your selection go 2 sets up in the match.
STEP 1 - QUALIFYING BETS
Enter the Bookie A Stake and Bookie A Back Odds. In our example this is our £100 bet on Roger Federer at odds of 1.4. Then enter the Bookie B Back Odds, in our example this is 3.2.
You can choose to override the Bookie B Stake if you'd like instead of using the number given by the calculator.
After entering this information the calculator will tell you the stake to place on Bookie B (Andy Murray).
When Dutching it is a good idea to place bets that a round amount so it looks less suspicious. Use the rounding drop down to adjust the back stake amount.
The calculator will then give you a breakdown of profit/loss depending on what happens in the match:
If your selection goes 2UP and you'd like to cash out in-play, click Lock-in/Cash Out Bet at the top to move on to the next section.
STEP 2 - LOCK-IN OR CASH OUT
This section is only to be used when your early payout trigger has occurred, in our case this is Roger Federer going 2 sets up in the match.
The aim here is to cash out our Bookie B back bet (this is the equivalent to what a lay bet would usually be if you weren't Dutching). There are two ways to do this, either by placing a back bet on the Bookie A selection (Roger Federer) with a third bookmaker or by using the Bookie B cash-out feature if it's available. Firstly we will go into placing a back bet with a third bookmaker (Bookie C).
Lock-in
We decide to cash out our bet by backing at another bookmaker, we've chosen BetVictor in this example.
Select the Lock-in mode from the drop-down
Then enter the back odds on Bookie C (BetVictor) for your Bookie A selection (Roger Federer). Once again you can override this if you'd like with the percentage slider
The calculator will then give you the stake you need to place on Roger Federer at BetVictor, along with your profit depending on what the outcome of the match is.
Cash Out
This is an alternative to the Lock-in method described above. Roger Federer has gone 2UP so we want to cash out our Andy Murray bet to guarantee a profit.
Select the Cash Out mode from the drop-down
We use the Cash Out feature on BetVictor to cash out our bet on Andy Murray. Then enter the return from this cash-out.
The calculator will then display the profit you will make.
